January in blogs! February in view

January

It’s the end of January, the first month in 2017. It’s been an interesting and challenging one especially since I decided to post weekly this year. All I can say, One month down, 11 to go. I expect to be a guru at this at the end of the year.

Thanks to the blog’s followers and readers who support and encourage me to keep at it. I invite you to continue on this journey with me and invite friends to come on as well; it will be worth their time.

Here are the blog posts in January,

I enjoyed the reactions from how social are you? As many wondered where I got all those names from as they searched through. I enjoyed reading Jack Canfield’s book – in how to get from point A to point B. I hope everyone has tried creating their life purpose statement so we can move on to reading it daily. Remember, it may not be perfect the first time. 100% LIFE IMPROVEMENT was a reinforcer and spiritual reminder that we have to play our parts, then we can let God do the rest.

So if you missed any, help yourself to the list above and follow the blog via email so you never miss another.

February

Welcome to February, the month of love… well, so they say. It promises to be an interesting one with 2 business books to be reviewed, a short story and a random/related post.

The only confirmed book for February is

  1. SMALL GIANTS by Bo Burlingham – 10th February

The second will be confirmed later.
Happy February!

Cheers.

Creating your Life purpose statement

Being clear about why you were created and where you are headed would really help you stay focused in a world where there are lots of opportunities and options available to either pull or push you. Your purpose serves as your road map through life – Tosan A.

How to move from Point A to Point B.

We are always looking for complex answers to our desire to change or achieve better results, maybe because we feel our needs are either complex or we just want to have access to the excuse that it was too complex that was why we could not achieve the desired changes. The latter may be why when we see simple answers, we are upset that the answers undermine our problems. Jack‘s recommended success principles are so simple that we could choose to either ignore them or just get into it right away – Tosan A.

How social are you?

Are you a connector???

This is an exercise culled from the book – Tipping point by Malcom Gladwell (but adapted to suit the African environment)to help you answer that question. Continue reading “How social are you?”

New year, Newbies…

2017 outlook for Tosansreviews

Here’s welcoming everyone into the new year. HAPPY NEW YEAR! A toast to freshness and new possibilities.

In the spirit of new starts, I have introduced some newbies on the blog and thought to keep you updated.

1stly, I am increasing posts to weekly! That’s a minimum of 4 posts a month! Yayyy! I hope you are as excited as I am! #stretchingin2017

2ndly, I’m introducing related and random posts. So many times, the books leave me in such high spirits or gives takeaways, which can’t all go in to the book review. That’s where related posts come in.

Random posts are just the opposite and as they sound – random. This could also be short stories.

3rdly, I am going to put up the names of the two books to be reviewed in each month on the 1st day of each month to get you all on the reading journey so we can read together and also share more views on the same book.

NB: Book reviews will be on the second and last week of each month.

I look forward to having your company on this interesting ride. Remember to invite others and follow if you are not already doing so.

 2017 here we come!

Much love.
